Dental Assistant — sterilisation and chairside

We need a fifth assistant to keep pace with a fifth chair we commissioned in March. The role is split roughly 70% chairside and 30% running the sterilisation and stock side of the practice.
Cairns has an unusual patient mix. Alongside our regular local families we see a steady stream of travellers and working holiday visitors with acute problems, which means the day is less predictable than in most practices and emergency appointments are routine.
Five chairs, three dentists, one oral health therapist. We are open Saturday mornings on a rotating roster, roughly one in four.
What the practice needs
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting preferred
- Experience running a sterilisation bay to AS 5369
- Calm under a changeable appointment book
- Available for one Saturday morning in four
What you get
- $31-$36 per hour depending on experience
- Saturday mornings paid at penalty rates

- Certificate IV support available after twelve months
