A jobs board that tells you what the job pays
dentaljobs.com.au lists dental vacancies across Australia — dentists, specialists, hygienists, oral health therapists, assistants, technicians, prosthetists and practice managers — on one set of terms that apply to every listing equally.
Anyone who has looked for clinical work in this country knows the shape of the problem. You open a listing, and it tells you the practice is modern and busy, the team is supportive, and the remuneration is commensurate with experience. It does not tell you the suburb, the days, the patient mix, or the money. So you send an email, wait a week, get a call from a recruiter who has not seen the surgery either, and eventually learn on a Thursday afternoon that the roster was never going to work.
That process is expensive for clinicians and it is expensive for practices, who spend months interviewing people who would have self-selected out in eight seconds if the ad had been honest. The vagueness does not protect anyone. It is just a habit, propped up by boards that get paid the same either way.
So this board is built around a small number of rules that cannot be bought out of. Every listing names the practice. Every listing carries a pay band. Every listing says which days, in which suburb, doing what. Applications go to the practice rather than through an intermediary, and the contact address on the listing is a person who can answer a question about the job.
There is nothing clever about any of that. It is the ordinary standard of a classified ad, applied to an industry that quietly stopped meeting it.

Turning listings away is the only thing that makes the rest of them worth reading.
Ads without a practice name
A listing that says "well-established practice in Melbourne's east" is asking you to apply to a riddle. If a practice will not put its name to a job, the job goes elsewhere.
Ads without a pay band
Salary secrecy is not a neutral choice — it transfers the whole cost of a bad guess onto the clinician. Every listing here carries a number, a range, a rate or a percentage.
Scraped and re-posted listings
Nothing on this board was lifted from another site. Every listing was submitted by the practice or the lab that is hiring, which is why the contact details actually work.
Roles that are already filled
Listings expire after thirty days unless the practice renews them, and come down the same day a practice tells us the chair is taken. A board of dead ads is worse than no board.
Who runs it
A small operation, on purpose
The board is run from Naarm / Melbourne. Listings are read by a person before they are published — not by a filter — which is why they take up to a business day and why the feedback on a rejected listing tells you what was missing. There is no sales team, because there is nothing to sell yet.
If a listing on this site is inaccurate, stale, or has an employer behaving badly behind it, that is worth knowing about. Say so and it gets looked at the same day.
