Dental Technician — crown and bridge, digital workflow

Salt & Cedar Dental Laboratory Moonah, Tasmania

$78k–$92kListed 3 weeks ago144 views

We took the last analogue impression in this laboratory in early 2022. Everything now arrives as a scan, gets designed in Exocad, and is milled in-house or printed depending on the case.

The role is primarily crown and bridge: single units, small-span bridges, implant-supported restorations, and a growing volume of full-arch work. You would work alongside two other C&B technicians, a ceramist, and a dedicated implant technician.

Equipment: two VHF K5 mills, an Asiga Max UV printer, Programat furnaces, and Exocad DentalCAD across six workstations.

What the practice needs

  • Trade qualification or Bachelor of Dental Technology
  • Three or more years in crown and bridge
  • Exocad or comparable CAD experience
  • Strong ceramic layering skills are an advantage but not essential

What you get

  • $78,000-$92,000 plus superannuation
  • Standard 38-hour week, finished by 4:30pm most days
  • CAD training funded, including the Exocad advanced modules
  • Relocation assistance to Hobart of up to $5,000
  • Profit share paid each December

About the practice

A nine-person laboratory in Moonah supplying practices across southern Tasmania, fully digital since 2022.
