Dental Hygienist — periodontal programme lead
Terrace House Dental — North Adelaide, South Australia
We are creating this role rather than backfilling it. Our four dentists currently share hygiene sessions between them, which means periodontal maintenance is inconsistent and recall compliance sits under 50%. We want one person to take that whole programme and run it properly.
You would have your own room, your own diary, and authority over recall intervals and re-care protocols. Sessions are 45 or 60 minutes depending on complexity — we do not book 30-minute scale-and-cleans.
The practice invested in an EMS Airflow Prophylaxis Master and a Florida Probe system last year specifically to support this role. There is also a standing arrangement with a periodontist two suburbs away for cases that need surgical management.
